more frustration

i'm not nice to my computer - i'll be the first to admit it. it has fallen at least once, possibly twice. i don't restart it enough. i'm not sure how, but i've managed to anger the cd/dvd enough that it no longer burns cds and picks and chooses which cd/dvds it will play. all of this is fine. but i have a new problem . . .

mid last week, the green light on the power cord started blinking (where it attaches to the computer, its usually a solid green light, sometimes orange i think) my computer was charged and i was busy so instead of doing anything, i just unplugged it. when i moved into the new apartment, i went to turn on the computer and the battery was super super low, so i plugged it in - the blinking continued. and it shut off. it will not turn back on . . . it starts too, i've even had it almost completely booted up (screen showing and everything) but it gives me the wheel of death and won't turn on. i've checked the battery, its def not charged. i would assume its an issue with the power chord, but its blinking - what does blinking mean?? i'm in the midst of trying to play on the mac website and see if they had any "this is your problem" type info on this, but i thought i'd ask you guys too :)
